Backsplashes

While we have covered this in the past, we’ve decided to really delve into the confusion surrounding backsplashes. In this post, we will cover what a backsplash is, the different options of backsplashes, and the reasoning behind a backsplash.

What Is A Backsplash?

A backsplash covers the wall behind your countertops. It can be made of the same material as your countertops or something completely different. Tile is currently a popular option for a backsplash, but backsplashes can come in all different types, styles, designs, and colors.

It’s important that the backsplash you choose is made of durable, non-absorbent material. It’s also crucial to be aware that changing your current backsplash isn’t necessary. If there is an existing backsplash that you’d like to keep, please let us know!

Different Backsplashes

As previously stated, backsplashes vary from material, design, style, and more. Here are some examples of different backsplashes, accompanied by pictures of our previously completed projects.

TILE

Tile is fluid in designs, styles, and shapes. It can be used to bring out certain colors or accents, and is versatile for bathrooms, kitchens, and anywhere else you’d like to put it. Please be aware, we do not provide or install tile!!!

FULL HEIGHT MATCHING BACKSPLASH

The term “Full Height Backsplash” is our terminology to describe when the existing countertop material extends up to your upper cabinets or cooktop/range hood. This is an example of something we commonly manufacture.

TRADITIONAL BACKSPLASH

This Backsplash typically measures 4 inches and can also be referred to as a “lip.” While it is commonly seen accompanied with vanities, it is also used for kitchens!

Why Do I Need A Backsplash?

Backsplash is crucial in protecting your wall. Grease, water, and other elements can create stains and cause serious damage to your walls over time.
